:o) “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but spiritual, to the pulling down of strongholds…” God was willing to spare Sodom and Gomorrah for the sake of one righteous man, but none could be found. I do believe that it has not reached that point here yet, so it emboldens me to beg the Father for the restoration of America’s righteous founding, and to thank Him that He has raised up a vast army of prayer warriors and “standers-in-the-gap.” I know they are out there, and they are praying diligently every day.

Yah, it’s an old article, but stuff like this simply does not lose its immediacy. As a matter of fact, it’s even worse today, witness the Gosnell atrocities, the beheading of the British soldier, etc., and see that people will do what they can get away with. Although Ecclesiastes says “there are no new sins,” there are sure a lot more new sinners. Time to put on our prayer-warrior hats and take to the mattresses. Weaponized prayer is the only thing I can think of that might work at this point.

Yah, that was expressed in almost the exact same terms on Rush today. And, I agree. There is a lot of governmental overreach that could have been completely avoided if the PTB had chosen a program of simple profiling. Instead, they made the rest of us into suspects.

They do not profile because profiling is known to be effective – witness El Al security – and effectiveness is the last thing they want. That might necessitate action, based on actual moral choices, something far exceeding the capabilities of 98% of politicians. Far better to fumble through some motions, pretending to have a security system that simply angers the population without requiring any strong, moral action from the political class.

In short, they are playing us. They are pretending to keep us safe while actually doing nothing at all to create actual safety.

The left has been manipulating the population into this dependency for the last fifty years or so. Unfortunately, in order to be the sugar-daddy of 350 million people, they are going to need some income, and if they have their way, nobody will work but all will be dependent.

But I sense a change coming. Even some of my more ignorant and liberal friends seem to be finally paying attention.

I browse twitter on a side that emphasizes the conservative mindset, and I am always amazed at the understanding they have of what is needed. Many are veterans, some active duty, and an amazing number are black conservatives who have been scorned by their families, friends, and neighborhoods.

But the word is getting around, and people are finally getting disgusted. There will always be a certain number of the “gimmies” hanging around, of course, but I think most of the people I see online are anxious for the economy to turn around, for Congress to grow certain anatomical attributes, and for the worm to finally turn. Perhaps we are about to see a bit of a change for the better. It won’t take a lot to give people hope.
