Zombies In Academe And Other Thoughts January 4, 2013

I’m sitting here wishing there was a breed of vampire or zombie that could suck the life out of Marxist professors. Just the revisionist, Marxist, leftist propagandists who are so firmly ensconced in their tenures that they believe that if the ivied walls burned down around them, they would escape unscathed.
The first step in getting back anything like control of the dialogue is to pull the fangs of the socialists in academe. Got kids of college age? Look around. All their graduate buddies are flipping burgers or detailing cars, if they are fortunate enough to find a job that pays money. Their Political Science, Sociology, Humanities diplomas are buried in their sock and underwear drawers, and they are still saddled with loans the size of home mortgages. Depriving these schools of students and tuition is a big step in turning around the invincible ignorance of many college grads today, dumbed down and maleducated by people who only want to indoctrinate, not educate. This does not preclude doing the same thing in the primary and secondary grades, either. And, what the hell is the government doing in education, anyway??
Instead, for your college-aged youngsters, look into the programs offered by trade schools and technical institutes. Give your children a real education by helping them get real, paying jobs. Of course, this is not going to be popular with the whiny left, but they had their chance, and the country is circling the drain. Besides, plumbers make really good pay, as do engineers, materials technicians, metallurgists, and carpenters.
So. Is your child looking for a career, or a real job? There is a difference.
And, while I’m venting, I would like to put myself on record as a supporter of getting women out of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church. For crying out loud! Isn’t there a bishop anywhere who can function without a gaggle of graying groupies fluttering around him all the time? The feminization of the Catholic Church in America has had incredibly far-reaching effects on society, and we are still suffering for the fact that men have backed down from positions of authority and ceded their authority to feminists. Traditional wives and mothers have no desire to usurp men’s places in the Church, but the old and bitter fems are still drooling over deacon’s jobs, lusting for the status symbol of that square inch of white under their chins.
Unfortunately, girls, the Church has wisely settled the problem once and for all, and any of you who get the faux-ordination from some likeminded friend are really the very saddest of dupes, because no woman can hold the position of priest. It’s not even open for debate any more. When you do that, you are excommunicating yourself. Period. But the fact remains that the Church simply does not have the authority to ordain women to the priesthood.
Now that I have gotten that off my chest, I would like to say I feel better, but the truth is that there is much to be done in America that will take more time than I have left, but I can still wishfully think about them and pray for people to come forward and restore America’s good name. After all, we are Americans. It’s what we do. Other good steps forward are across the board term limits on all elected officials at the federal level, and voter ID laws in every state. Protecting the Bill of Rights from the leftists goes without saying.
We can do this.
Since many of the worst offenders are at state universities which are taxpayer supported, it would be easy enough to clean up academia–if people just simply get the will to do so. We shouldn’t give up on them–we should reclaim them.
Flushing out the offenders is the job of years. Sometimes I think state-level education is the worst offender. They feed the national system with fresh zealots and apparatchiki. I wouldn’t even know how to begin. All I have is a HS diploma, so I don’t even have an inkling of what college-level tactics would be good. They are desperate, though. Almost as desperate as the Right. They are fighting to retain power, we are fighting for our children’s future.
The best course for parents who can do so is to remove their children from the public school stream and either homeschool or enroll them in private school. Politically, putting patriots onto school boards and other entities is always a good plan. In the meantime, all the rest of us can do is one thing at a time. And PRAY.

If they are Episcopalians or Anglicans, it goes up to almost 3 square inches (ours are much wider). The larger clerical collar looks every bit as out of place as does the Roman version, for precisely the same reasons!
