Expression Cramps September 13, 2012

Like superstitious teenagers, the left cherishes some interesting incantations and magical thinking in their dealings with those of us on the right. Their favorite new “abracadabra!” is “Racist!” It is deployed into any conversation, especially by the devoutly adhered supporters of the current rodent.
Think of all the catchphrases, buzzwords, and epithets they use, how frequently they use them against Conservatives of any stripe, and you begin to notice patterns. Can it really be that the use of these words is to the left a real weapon, or is it only the expression of narrow thought and cramped expression? Whatever it is, the sad reality is that any news show can provide numerous copies of incantations, regardless of the program being watched or the editorial opinion being read.
Next time, take notes. Do like radio host Rush Limbaugh does with these people, and put together a tally-sheet of how often words or phrases are used, and you will see the same words, used the same way, by all the adherents.
In a world of fast-as-light personal communication, the broadness of the internet for sources of new vocabulary and usage resources, the leftist news hawks are determinedly stuck in their magical-thinking world, superstitiously slathering their latest buzzwords and blame-phrases on anyone who isn’t solidly in their camp.
Hoping to make us go away, they speak their abracadabras at us in every way imaginable, and paint every one of us with the very useful “racist” abracadabra. Somebody should tell them about magic wands and top hats with rabbits inside, and words like “Ipso Facto!” or “Montezuma!” or my own private and personal favorite, “Ookiedook!” Any good word would do, but “racist” has got to go.
WHAT WE REMEMBER Sept. 11 September 11, 2012

September 11
My oldest son’s birthday. I have to remind myself that he had the day first, and he is entitled to celebrate it. I remind him to enjoy it, but to honor those who were lost as part of the celebration. Fly the flag, I told him. Use “stars and stripes” decorations for his parties. Maybe drink a toast or two to the fallen.
May we never forget.
May “NEVER FORGET!” ring down through the years from now on as the battle cry of all who love freedom.
May the souls of the dear ones who were snatched away from us on this date rest in eternal peace.
And, may we who are left never lose the legacy of freedom and peace that was willed to us by our Founding Fathers.
America was not diminished on that day. She was elevated and she shone brightly to the world as what she was: The last home of true freedom in the world. The world’s shock was evidence that all thinking people around the world realize this, even if they can’t put that realization into words or phrases. They may say they hate America and all she stands for, but there isn’t a one of them standing who wouldn’t jump at the chance to live here. Because, in their secret hearts, they know.
They know that America really is the land of the free and the home of the brave. They know that the USA is still the freest country on earth. They may be jealous of our prosperity, but they would sell their mothers for a chance to get in on that prosperity.
Ask any person from a former Iron-Curtain country. Ask anyone who has lived under the domination of the Workers’ Paradise. They know what real freedom is. And they know that America is still the fountainhead of real peace and freedom.
And ask yourself while you are at it why a commemoration of that evil day brings out PATRIOTIC displays. How interesting that a fiendish but non-military attack on innocent lives should stir up the thoughts of freedom, patriotism, and peace.
No matter who we are or what our backgrounds are, when an attack on one part of America is made, it is made on all parts. All of us are affected. We are all Americans first. We are more patriotic than most of us let on. We know deep in our hearts that America really is the best. And we have found in the evil attack on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and in that field in Pennsylvania a good and righteous reason to express that hidden patriotism. We have found a reason to proclaim our love for America in the destruction of September 11, 2001. Without real effort on our part, we have learned that we actually care about America and what happens to her.
Years of relative peace have brought most of us to a condition of complacency about our freedom (and our freedoms.) For years, we felt safe in the knowledge that American shores had not been physically attacked since Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. We took our peace for granted, and never realized that peace had only been possible because of our willingness to do battle with any who might feel lucky.
We will remember. And what we will remember is that America is great and strong, and America is still the symbol of freedom and peace to all the world.
I’m going to go raise my flag now. I’m going to hold my hand over my heart, and I’m going to recite the Pledge. And I am going to remember what I should have remembered long ago: Freedom has a price, and sometimes, even those who aren’t in the fight become the ones who pay. I will never forget.

It Must Be Sad September 3, 2012
Posted by lizp4 in Uncategorized.add a comment
It must be sad to be a liberal. There are a lot of reasons why this must be, some of which make more sense than others, but the list reads like the “DON’T” side of a good mental-hygiene “DO’S AND DON’TS OF A STRONG MIND.”
1. It must be sad to feel so driven to defend the indefensible.
2. It must be sad to feel the need to take oneself too seriously.
3. It must be sad to demand that everybody believe as you do, and not have the slightest thought about looking at the other side of any question.
4. It must be sad to have absolutely no sense of humor or whimsey; to only be able to laugh at others and their misfortune, and to think their misery is a laughable thing.
5. It must be very sad to have no hope for the future.
6. It must be very sad to have not the slightest shred of joy in one’s outlook or temperament.
7. It must be sad to never be able to think the best of a person, institution, or situation.
8. It must be very sad to have such a low opinion of oneself that ugly and degrading habits, expressions, and personal interests are the only ways to feel comfortable.
9. It IS very sad indeed not to have any faith in God, who created one out of purest love; and to be unable to lean on that all-powerful and loving God in times of fear, despair, and pain.
10. It must be very, very sad to think so little of life, babies, and children to believe slaughtering them in their mothers’ wombs is a good thing that must be defended at all costs.
11. It MUST be very sad to know that the miserable, the debauched, and the hateful, the twisted, the selfish are one’s only role models, confidants, and leaders.
I Love The Smell Of Panic In The Morning… September 3, 2012
Posted by lizp4 in Uncategorized.add a comment
I love the smell of panic in the morning. And on the left, from top to bottom. It smells almost like victory.
I really, REALLY hope the left continues to refuse to take the Right seriously. It makes our job so much easier. They love to ridicule us and to treat us as if we are second-graders trying to teach the graduating class a lesson.
I hope they continue to spend their time ridiculing us and pretending that we are not a threat. I hope they sleep soundly at night, believing that they have the victory in the bag and that we are not much more than a joke. I really hope they keep believing that.
But, here’s the thing: they are PANICKED. LOL! they are swinging at everything, over the plate or not. They are getting (GETTING!!!?) screechy, loopy, off-point, racist, bigoted, and they are REALLY showing true colors. But if there was ever a Chinese (can I say that here?) fire drill, it’s the democrats this year. Watch and see what I mean during their convention in Charlotte. It will be wall-to-wall, scree.., er, speech after speech, frantic, hysterical, and incomprehensibly whiny.
To which I say, “Woot! Keep it up!”
Card. Dolan’s Prayer September 1, 2012

Following is the closing benediction which was offered by Cardinal Timothy Dolan at the RNC Convention:
With firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, let us pray:
Almighty God, father of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus, we beg your continued blessings on this sanctuary of freedom, and on all of those who proudly call America home. We ask your benediction upon those yet to be born, and on those who are about to see you at the end of this life. Bless those families whose ancestors arrived on these shores generations ago, as well as those families that have come recently, to build a better future while weaving their lives into the rich tapestry of America.
We lift up to your loving care those afflicted by the recent storms and drought and fire. We ask for the grace to stand in solidarity with all those who suffer. May we strive to include your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, in the production and prosperity of a people so richly blessed.
Oh God of wisdom, justice, and might, we ask your guidance for those who govern us, and on those who would govern us: the president and vice-president, the Congress, the Supreme Court, and on all those who seek to serve the common good by seeking public office, especially Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan. Make them all worthy to serve you by serving our country. Help them remember that the only just government is the government that serves its citizens rather than itself.
Almighty God, who gives us the sacred and inalienable gift of life, we thank you as well for the singular gift of liberty. Renew in all of our people a respect for religious freedom in full, that first most cherished freedom. Make us truly free, by tethering freedom to truth and ordering freedom to goodness. Help us live our freedom in faith, hope, and love; prudently, and with justice; courageously, and in a spirit of moderation. Enkindle in our hearts a new sense of responsibility for freedom’s cause. And make us ever-grateful for all those who, for more than two centuries, have given their lives in freedom’s defense; we commend their noble souls to your eternal care, as even now we beg your mighty hand upon our beloved men and women in uniform.
May we know the truth of your creation, respecting the laws of nature and nature’s God, and not seek to replace it with idols of our own making. Give us the good sense not to cast aside the boundaries of righteous living you first inscribed in our hearts even before inscribing them on tablets of stone. May you mend our every flaw, confirming our soul in self-control, our liberty in law.
We pray for all those who seek honest labor, as we thank you for the spirit of generosity to those in need with which you so richly blessed this nation.
We beseech your blessing on all who depart from here this evening, and on all those, in every land, who seek to conduct their lives in freedom.
Most of all, Almighty God, we thank you for the great gift of our beloved country.
For we are indeed “one nation under God.”
And “in God we trust.”
Dear God bless America. You who live and reign, forever and ever,
Amen!
