New Particle: The Quandary of Governmentium July 31, 2012

I found this clever piece in my email inbox the other day. Enjoy!

Gv: The Heaviest Element Known to Science

The CSIRO in Australia has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science.

The new element is Governmentium (Gv). It has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lefton-like particles called peons.

Since Governmentium has no electrons or protons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction normally taking less than a second to take from four days to four years to complete.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2-6 years. It does not decay but instead undergoes a reorganisation in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.

In fact, Governmentium’s mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons. All of the money is consumed in the exchange, and no other byproducts are produced.

Life Or Not? July 26, 2012

Of all the places to hear something condemnatory of the mass shooting in Colorado last week or some form of commentary on such evil as a way to help form the consciences of parishoners, you would think that Sunday Mass would be the place. Not so, unfortunately, and not for the first time.

It’s a very sad thing to have a cowardly pastor. Someone who is so fearful of a bishop’s wrath that taking a stand for life is too frightening to do; or to express the will of the Church and the Lord in any situation is not part of his homily preparation. But fearful pastors abound, and left-leaning bishops are a dime a dozen.

So. Fathers and pastors, I’m embarrassed and sorry that you failed to even express sympathy for the survivors and the families of the heroes who gave their lives to protect others from the deranged monstrosity that occurred in that theater. I’m going to pray that you all find your gonads, and that your voice for the innocent will soon be heard. It would be really refreshing to hear from you something encouraging about those who stand up for LIFE in every situation, from conception to natural death. But, of course, that’s a pretty touchy subject for priests and pastors who fears the wrath of lazy, leftist bishops.

Come, Holy Spirit!

The Better Mousetrap July 23, 2012

Have you been paying attention (or trying not to) to all the commercials on radio and tv about testosterone replacement? (“Cancel your plans for tonight! You’re staying in!”)

I’ve long been of the opinion that men, by virtue of their makeup, hormones, and brain chemistry, are simply hardwired to want as much sex as their bodies can withstand. This is nature’s way of ensuring the survival of the species. It’s the reason a man watches all the girls, and why older women don’t stand a chance with men who are still in their reproductive years.

Sex is the most powerful drive in nature. Men don’t really “understand” just why they are desirous all the time, but know instinctually that there is something seriously wrong somewhere when their emotions change, their strength wanes, and desire begins to flag in midlife, so it stands to reason that they are going to be interested (more than interested) in any compound, trick, gadget, vitamin, or salve that is going to restore the most important function in a man’s resume: his sexual performance, as witnessed by the popularity of the herbal compound Enzyte, and similar products.

There is an old saying: “Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.” I don’t know who said it — probably the inventor of the current mousetrap, considering it’s been around for so long with only minor adjustments and no real improvement — but they were absolutely correct. The same could safely be said about hormone replacement for men. “Find a performance enhancer that really works, and half the world will beat a path to your door.” Knowing how important these things are for the healthy psyches of normal men, I hope they work as advertised. The better mousetrap has yet to come along, but the better enhancer may be here already. I will never know, but the manufacturers will. They will be rewarded with well-beaten paths to their doors.

The Heroes Of Aurora July 22, 2012

These men died protecting the women they loved from the deranged shooter in the theater in Aurora, Colorado on July 20. Heroes. It’s good to know we still have (HAD) men like this among us. May God BLESS them! “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Now, enter into the home of the Father…”

Obviously, there were other heroes of this monstrosity from a twisted mind, but their stories were not public when this was posted. From those whose lives were saved by the valiant act of all the heroes, the love will never stop. Thank God for the lives of all twelve of the innocent victims of what’s-his-name.

ONE PERSON WITH A LEGAL FIREARM IN THAT THEATER COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS.

…I am going to have to wash out my computer with lye soap after posting the following link, but I want people to see what passes for “thinking” on the left in any crisis.

The comments referred to here were actually posted, and are “part of history.” It doesn’t get much nastier than this. Thanks to Michelle Malkin’s crew of plucky editors (in double hazmat suits, no doubt) for rounding up this steaming pile of liberal manure. It’s time to weep for your nation. But only for a little while. Then, you get busy and pray, and volunteer. We are taking this country back. Period.

I clapped and cheered when this short video was finished.

God bless America.

Are They Worried Enough Yet? July 17, 2012

The “establishment” GOP (I like to call them the eGOP) is feeling badly threatened lately by the people who support the TEA party movement. Unfortunately for them, they have every reason in the world to feel threatened by honest people wanting to clean out the Augean stables in Washington DC.

The eGOPs should feel threatened, because they are guilty. A lot of the chicanery and slime has occurred on their watches, and they have just let it go by. They have lost the real Republican identity, the one that supports and actually defends the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic and seeks to hew to the laws set forth by that Constitution. They ought to feel threatened by a groundswell of honest people seeking to restore American integrity and honesty to its government. They ought to feel anxious about creating a government which has become a dangerous sham and a monstrous tyrant usurper addicted to microscopic regulation of the lives of the voters.

Public officials feeling this kind of anxiety over their positions in Washington tells me that they know they have overstayed their welcome in those offices by many years, but have come to feel like they are entitled to something that rightfully belongs to the people of this country. The position your average entitled politician clings to with tooth and claw, with every fiber of his/her being is yours to fill or empty as you see fit. But the eGOPs have become just like the democrats. They have begun to think of their offices as theirs by Divine right.

Thanks to them and their habitual acquiescence to the loony left, we have watched our beloved country become an eroded shadow of her former glory. The flag is no longer a rallying point for patriots, but a doormat for her detractors. The Executive branch thinks nothing of tootling over, around, or through the Constitution every time it gets in their way. The Judicial branch is not just a front for supplying druglords and terrorists with weapons and putting bullseyes on the backs of border patrol agents, it’s become a rubber stamp for statists. And the Legislative branch is a hilarious clown show full of pokerfaced sourpuss liberals demanding ever more privilege, and there aren’t a dozen real Conservatives on the rolls or in the hallowed halls of either house.

The eGOP should be gnawing their knuckles. They realize they are in the voters’ crosshairs (can I say that here?), and their cushy sinecures are about to be reevaluated by their REAL bosses, perhaps to be taken away.

Note to eGOPs: You are going to be voted out of your soft, lucrative place in Washington. Stop playing the fatcat tycoons you think you are. Bringing home the pork isn’t nearly as important to us as you might think. We are willing to adhere to the Constitutional laws. Why do you think you don’t have to? Stop acting like the arrogant sultans you have become and restore real honor and dignity to the offices you hold.

We are VERY tired of your habitual ass-kissing across the aisle and want you to either get good, or GET GONE. Capice?

Some Questions July 13, 2012

Do the media run the country?

Has anything been decided by Congress in the last few years that hasn’t been thoroughly debated and approved/disapproved by talking heads?

Why is their opinion so important that even Supreme Court Chief Justices rule according to what they believe the press will say about them in the future?

How is it possible for a group of ignoramuses to move the country simply by their pronouncements and opnions, without any input from the people?

I know it sounds crazy, but if you think about it for a minute, you will see that I am right. The talking heads — mostly of the slavishly leftist variety — have usurped all the power on behalf of a Marxist wolf in sheep’s clothing, and because they are willing slaves of the current resident and his elitist handlers/toadies, they are assured that their opinions, since they are identical to those of the Won, will become law without effort. The will of the people has been completely undermined and negated by a few idiots jacking their jaws behind neon-lit freeform desks while JumboTrons behind them show waving flags and menacing tea-party people holding signs that say, “Taxed ENOUGH Already!!”

“Will of the people” is a misnomer these days, as witnessed by the recent Supreme Court ruling on the Constitutionality of the huge and baleful “healthcare” bill that was forced upon us by the fearful vote of ONE Justice who was vulnerable to the good opinion of the liberals in media. The Constitution was stood on its head by that single vote, and the future generations of citizens of this country will be left holding the bag for the costs and obligations that are now forced upon them.

There’s a reason I always tell people to turn off their televised news, cancel magazines and “news” papers, and get the real truth from honest sources online. That reason is those people in front of the JumboTrons.

Thinking It Over July 11, 2012

Once upon a time, we didn’t know anything. Then, one day, we knew we didn’t know anything. Pretty soon, we found out that we didn’t know what it was that we didn’t know about anything.

Not long after that, we realized that there were some things we knew about that we didn’t really know. So we thought about it for a while, and discovered that we just couldn’t know everything about not only stuff we didn’t know about things we knew about, but also all the stuff we knew we didn’t know about anything we knew about.

Nowadays, we are smarter. We know we don’t know, but we just don’t know what to think about all that stuff we know we don’t know about what we know, let alone all the stuff we don’t know we don’t know. But we are learning. Pretty soon, we will know what it is we don’t know about the things we know about, and we will FINALLY learn just what it is that we don’t know about what it is we know. When we can know what we don’t know about what we know, we will know what we need to know.

Why The Heck?? July 7, 2012

Can someone please tell me why the heck it is so DIFFICULT to convince the young people in this country that the obamacare they are so thrilled about is going to COST THEM DEARLY FOR THEIR ENTIRE LIVES???

I am very discouraged and sad when I think about my children and grandchildren being saddled with that enoromous bill for cut-rate medical care, British-style hospitals, panels of bureaucrats who will decide who gets how much treatment when, who gets to go home and die, and whether or not your mother will be able to have lung surgery. Not to mention all the junk the ELITIST socialists in congress loaded onto it. Now, on top of a 2,700 page tax bill, we have an additional 1,700 pages of further regulations added into it, just to make sure none of us escape. Trying to impress this onto their entitlement-soaked brains is discouraging as all get-out.

We cannot survive another four years of this lawless administration. Vote. Please vote. And vote for anybody but the Won.
