On Purpose June 28, 2012

I’m one of those (more or less) omnivorous TV movie watchers. If it’s worth watching once, my movie mantra goes, it’s worth watching every time it comes on, whether I have the disk or not. Flicks like “Hellboy,” “The Grinch,” “Fantastic 4,” “X-Men,” etc., are always guaranteed an audience of at least one when they come on.
I was thinking of “I, Robot” as I meditated at prayer this morning. In it, Sonny, the robot who is the apparent “suspect” in the death of the old inventor who built him, expresses something to the detective who pursues him and the scientist who tries to protect him. “I believe my father made me for a purpose,” Sonny says.
Our Father, God the Creator, made all of us with a free will. This was necessary, so that we could choose to LOVE God for Himself, and not because we had no choice in the matter. Because of this free will, though, we can also choose evil. We can choose to sin. Or not. We can choose to pray because we feel called to do that thing at that time. This is part of our purpose as Children of God. He gave us each a free will, and He does not violate that will. If we use it to choose sin, He does not arbitrarily step in and cancel our choice (although it is possible that if someone else is praying for us, the intervention might come).
As I thought on this, it occurred to me that there are a lot of people praying and fasting for America these days. Among other things, I believe we have been created to be the people who pray now, for the future. I began to see that perhaps my existence, my faith, my love and desire for prayer, could have all been seen by the Father to be necessary in this time and in this place, for this reason. And, if that would be applicable to me, could it not be applicable to all of us who have undertaken to pray diligently now, for this? For people of faith, these matters are no strange and esoteric fields. We all say, “I believe My Father made me for a purpose,” and mean it. We know we can never fathom the thoughts of God, but it’s a reassuring meditation.
I plan to act as though I had received my marching orders directly from the Commander in Chief of all the Legions of angels and saints and for prayer warriors across the country. Who knows? Stranger things have happened
P.S. “Hellboy” was on again the other night, and, yes, I watched it, start to finish.
The Grownup Has Left The Room June 23, 2012

(I wrote this earlier this week, before I had an opportunity to read the excellent article by Kyle Ann Shiver linked at the bottom of the page)
Way back when, in the time of BB (Before Barack), America was recognized all over the world as the grownup in the room. All the other countries did their varied pigtail-pulling, spitball-shooting, snuggy-giving mischief with an eye on the adult. They were allowed to behave pretty much as they wished as long as they stopped short of real mayhem and unprovoked brutality. There were limits they were not allowed to cross, and if they did so, the adult stepped in and straightened things out, with or without force.
Today, unfortunately, the grownup has left the room, and the student countries, without a monitor, have erupted into a roomful of loud, aggressive, mayhem, drawing pictures of the U.S. on the board with all kinds of arrows sticking out of it, big ears and other external bulges, and in general trashing the world, convinced there will be no real intervention or consequences.
No one really cares where the U.S. went. The golden child that was elected to bring the old millenium to a resounding close while opening the blessed era of his wonderful reign has farted and fallen over. No longer the golden child, he is now a craven and conceited little grifter pretending he still has all the power.
Not My Father’s Politics June 22, 2012

Sometimes, I have to wonder what my dear old daddy would have said about today’s politics. He was a staunch Republican, an early John Birch Society member back in the fifties, and read “American Mercury” magazine. He listened to Paul Harvey (yes, he was on the air clear back then), thought Harry Truman was a disgrace, and that the union “organizers” who came around to get him to unionize his one-man shop as a sign painter were Bolsheviks.
If he could see what is going on in American politics today, he might very well have a heart attack, or “go postal,” or something almost as radical, but I’m sure that as bad as any of US think it is, he would KNOW it was much worse. The old patriots of those days were the real heirs of the politics of the day. He was born in 1890, so he had been around long enough to see a lot of things. The Civil War being only thirty years in the past the year he was born (that’s more recent than World War II for us), there was still a strong understanding of the Constitutional limits on Federal power, the responsibilities of the privilege of voting. (Yes, “privilege.” It is NOT a “responsibility,” or a “duty.” Voting is the right and privilege of adult, educated, and engaged American Citizens, and NOT felons, illegal aliens, pets, comic strip characters, adolescent goths, or corpses.)
In those days, people KNEW when someone was unfit for an office. The current resident would not have been able to pull the wool over the eyes of the electorate in those days, simply because some aware, alert individual–or even an honest newspaper editor–would have done their job of vetting candidates thoroughly, and would have exposed the c/r’s utter lack of qualification for the job. And, as far as giving him a “TOP SECRET” security clearance, his past associations with known terrorists and Socialist/Marxists, not to mention his present behavior, would have permanently prevented him from ever attaining such a clearance, and my dad would have known that better than we now do. None of those cronies the c/r surrounds himself with as a “cabinet” would have been allowed on the White House grounds, either.
In those days, voters were simply more careful about whom they allowed to stand in their place in the world. The press knew what it had to do, and did it with dignity and deep honesty, and finding the truth and revealing it to their readers and listeners at the time was their duty.
Dad would have loved Ronald Reagan, he would have admired George W. Bush, and he would have proudly worn a Sarah Palin button. But he would be in sorrowful tears at what he would see of his beloved country in the last three and a half years. Loving his country was part of who he was.
Today, it’s not my father’s politics, by any stretch of the imagination, which makes me very sad.

It becomes apparent what Obama’s electoral strategy is going to be. He will hand out goodies to one after another interest group over the next five months — favors intended to cement customary support or swing the undecided over to the Democrats. We can look forward to further executive orders containing handouts to every imaginable interest group, including blacks, gays (gay marriage is a likely possibility), unions (card check), American Jews (“Inmate Pollard, report to the warden’s office.”), and for all I know, the Church of Scientology. (Wait…didn’t Big Bill already try that?) By this means, Obama hopes to encourage the traditional Democratic coalition while dragging in enough new voters to put him over the top. And all he needs is to continue dropping an executive order every couple of weeks. He must think he’s discovered the political philosopher’s stone. — J. R. Dunn, From “Prince of Handouts” American Thinker
The article from which the above was taken is a must-read. It shows us what we are up against in this campaign, and illustrates clearly that the Chicago machine and its methods is still alive and well. It is, pure and simple, a criminal enterprise, and although the names and faces change from time to time, the methods remain the same.

Would you vote for an obvious Marxist Communist for President of the United States? Would you vote for someone whose background included long-standing friendships with avowed and convicted Marxist terrorists who hadn’t changed their positions?
What if that list of friends included convicted criminals and high-level crooks? Would you choose someone to govern, guide, and represent you who spent many years agreeing with demagogues and race-baiters?
Would the fact that this person was Caucasian influence your choice? If he/she was not White, it’s pretty safe to say that ALL the above considerations would be ignored, if not personally by you, at least by most of the “powers that be” and other influential groups in American politics, because when we put the choice into this kind of perspective, we see that these kinds of thing really do matter to us. These things are what are being deliberately overlooked by the mainstream media as they cover the elections, because their chosen candidate, the one person who actually carries all these handicaps is still Black.
So, in order to assuage their White Guilt, White liberals have chosen to overlook all the dangerous negatives about Barack Hussein Mohammed Obama, and support his run for reelection, in spite of his DISASTROUS and anti-American record in his first term. They have chosen him because he is Black. Period. If he wasn’t Black, he wouldn’t be where he is. Plain and simple.
We are teetering on the brink of re-electing a man who is not just a blithering incompetent, but an anti-American Marxist who chooses to align himself with race-baiters, bigots, and demagogues whose agendas include the destruction of America and all she stands for in the world.
In the goofy movie, “Earth Girls Are Easy,” Julie Brown sings a silly ditty called, “Because I’m Blonde.” In it, she recites all the privileges and andvantages blondes can claim because of their blondeness. It’s hardly a stretch to see the same entitlement attitude swirling around in the mind of Barack Hussein Mohammed Obama, who, interestingly, is more White (one-half) than Black, since his father was mixed-race). By his choice of his own race, he has also done so because of whatever African blood he carries. He chooses his own identity because of the fractional Blackness in his own person. If he can’t do it, who can?
Oh! I’m sorry…we’re not supposed to talk about race when we write about Barack Hussein Mohammed Obama. Only THEY can, to “protect the President.” He says, “Lay off my ears. Lay off my wife. Lay off my pastor. Lay off my politics. Lay off my lies. Lay off my lack of experience. Lay off my friends, old and new. Lay off my race.” Ok. So, that leaves us with…ah, um… If it wasn’t so pathetically, obviously funny, it would be sickeningly sinister.
So, now that Barack Hussein Mohammed Obama is the incumbent, what’s the drumbeat the suckup presstitutes keep mouthing with breathless abandon? You guessed it: he’s the first BLACK President, and WE are the “racists.” Go figure…

THIS is all that needs to be said about THAT. For now. One of the things this article does is point up just how deep, how high, how broad, and how pervasive is the (dare I say it?) conspiracy that put this person in the place he occupies. The big question I always want to ask is, “Why aren’t there any people in government interested in seriously looking into this vicious, premeditated (for how long???) fraud?”
FLAG DAY 2012 June 14, 2012

Hats Off!
Along the street there comes
A blare of bugles, a ruffle of drums,
A flash of color beneath the sky:
Hats off!
The colors before us fly….
But more than the flag is passing by….
Days of plenty and years of peace;
March of a strong land’s swift increase;
Equal justice, right, and law,
Stately honor and reverend awe;
Sign of a nation, great and strong
To ward her people from foreign wrong:
Pride and glory and honor,-all
Live in the colors to stand or fall.
Hats off!
Along the street there comes
A blare of bugles, a ruffle of drums;
And loyal hearts are beating high:
Hats off!
THE FLAG IS PASSING BY!

Ever wonder why there is so much evil in the world that seems to go unnoticed, or at least, unpunished? Of course you have. If you have a conscience that works, you understand evil exists and there is nothing we can do about it except keep our own houses in order. Which is basically what is expected of everyone. You can imagine the changes that would become obvious if EVERYONE did nothing more than this.
Satan doesn’t bother to tempt bad people. They are already his. Of course, like all evil ones, he will never be satisfied until it all belongs to him, so he and his minions (apologies to real minions everywhere) go about the world looking for new additions to their numbers. (Believe me, his minions look nothing LIKE these appealing little guys.)
If you want to see the real face of temptation, go look in a mirror. Yep. That’s right. Every time we are haughty, or when we lie, steal, covet, or abuse, we are doing it for ourselves. WE are the gods we seek to please. Somehow, very few people realize that if we could see the real face of evil, it would be so disgusting, terrifying, and repulsive we would never go near it. But Satan does understand this, and disguises these “needs” as gifts for your most favorite person in all the world: YOU.
If you find yourself being tempted by whatever might be the “latest evil of the day,” so to speak, it’s a pretty good sign that Satan has found you to be too good for him, which puts you right at the top of his search-and-destroy list.

Go HERE and read the list of names and accomplishments of those who “believe in” global warming. Then, scroll to the bottom, and click the link to find the names and accomplishments of those scientists who DO NOT. File this information under “ammunition.”

Interesting, isn’t it, that the phrase, “…the first Black…” is even part of the American lexicon? We shouldn’t care a speck for the color of the skin of anyone who accomplishes any “first.” And, in a country where opportunities of all kinds are open to all legal residents, it’s a ridiculous concept. And, ridiculously racist. The idea that an individual with a particular pigmentation cannot accomplish anything without special advantages, privileges, and treatment is monstrously demeaning and condescending, and has become a sure-fire liberal/progressive method for teaching people of color to become not just dependent on other people’s money, but to demand to be taken care of and given special treatment.
This is America. We are all (those legal ones of us who want to be, anyway) Americans. Nobody is here because of the color of their skin, and if someone were to scrape the skin off a black person and a white person and put them side by side, we wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. It’s amazing that something no more than “skin-deep” could be such a momentous factor in the everyday life of any country, especially one with the opportunity and prosperity of America. Imagine someone thinking that a human is where he is or is not because of the color of his skin. Excuse me? Our brains, wit, ability, perseverance, and physical prowess are located in our skin color?? Knock ME over with a feather, by golly! Who KNEW??
Color is NOT the reason for anything, unless we pretend it is so. Color is only an EXCUSE for anti-American behavior, lack of inititaive, or criminal behavior; and it doesn’t excuse any of them. It’s just an excuse for them. But, those are behaviors found in populations of any color.
In countries where colored skin is the norm, what kind of behavior is there? Better think about this one for more than a moment, because the behaviors in those countries are not the result of skin color, but of decisions made, laws obeyed or ignored, and excuses chosen.
In America, the idea that anybody can be the first to do something is part of the very air we breathe. But we have somehow made the color of our skin the reason to get all excited over the accomplishments of a select part of society for any of these firsts, and we are busily making sure everybody looks at skin color first in any field of endeavor.
Believe it or not, this is not why so many people with white skin died in the Civil War.
