Signs Of LIFE January 24, 2012

Elizabeth (nice name, that!) Scalia, over at The Anchoress blog, has passed on a lot of beautiful images from the March For Life in Washington this last weekend. The miserable weather (what else do we usually have the third week in January?) didn’t keep them away, and estimates of attendance range from 40,000 to nearly half a million.
And, here’s a report from San Francisco. Beautiful weather, beautiful people.

Yah, the name “Elizabeth” seems to be making a comeback. When I was a kid in school, it was the source of a lot of cruel teasing, and I think I was the only person in town with that name.
We participated in the annual Walk For Life in Minnesota every year when we were there, and demonstrated at abortuaries. Time well spent, for the sake of our helpless little ones (and ancient loved ones, as well). The Pro-Life Alaska booth at the State Fair, unfortunately, has bowed to political correctness and has taken down the graphic images that caught so many peoples’ eyes in former years. Many, many people were astonished into changing their stand right there! I hope there are complaints.
You’re just a little bit biased about that name, are you not?
I have a number of friends from here in Dubuque who are in those pictures (not that I can identify them, just that I know that they are there). We had about four large buses go from here, if I understood correctly, which is really quite a lot of folks.
The pro-life feeling is very high here, thank God! We do have Planned Parenthood in town, but only under constant protest. They are picketed almost every day, year around.
