A Question For Us All January 31, 2012

I don’t mind admitting I’m an ignoramus on a lot of things. But, I seem to have found one of those things. Can somebody please tell me how carrying a state-issued ID and being mandated to show it at the voting polls “disenfranchises” blacks and hispanics? Obviously, even good arguments will be shouted down by special interests.

We have to show official identification just about everywhere we go. Write a check, show your ID. Use a credit card, show your ID. Go to a federal office or try to board an airplane, and you must show your ID AND get X-rayed or patted down. But these people can’t show the same ID card at a polling place?? I must have hurt my head when I rolled off that turnip truck…

Bully January 31, 2012

the vindictive, small-minded, and pathetic weakling trying desperately to keep Newt Gingrich out of the position of Republcan nominee is a mere puppet with delusions of grandeur. Arrogance in a small-time crook is decidedly undignified and proves only that the weakling is a bully. One can be weak, or one can be arrogant, but when one has both these characteristics, the only conclusion that can be drawn is that the owner is nothing better than a thug. Scut Farkus, you have been pwned.

I’m trying to think of a modifier for “desperate” that conveys the anxiety of the establishment operatives in the GOP, and the only thing I can think of is “frantically.” In any case, like cats in the litterbox, they are obsessively trying to find an empty spot in the process to make their next deposit of desperate rhetoric against ANY conservative attempt to gain ascendancy in the GOP.

It is both sad and gratifying to see suspicions confirmed about that bunch. Sad, because it’s a huge disappointment to see how far the once-high purpose of the GOP has descended; and gratifying to see one’s suspicions confirmed in such a concrete and exact manner.

As for the busy cats in the GOP establishment litterbox, there is a possiblity that the dialogue has been saturated with their bombast. I am not surprised that people are finally tired of hearing their charges against Gingrich, and are simply turning away in disgust from the bullying and the noise. Establishment is establishment, and the GOP has finally shown its hand. It has turned over all the deuces and jokers in the hand, and is left with weird and pitiful attempts at bluffing.

This just in from Sunny.

Some airheads just tell it better than others, let’s face it. I really like the crown. Nice touch.

And, THIS is just downright SCARY.

A Couple Of Good Speeches January 29, 2012

Go HERE and listen to some good stuff…

Oh, my…Newt Gingrich hit another one out of the park. I was perturbed by CSPAN’s insistence on the noise-reduction settings on their equipment, because it caused annoying dropouts of applause and sometimes, even the speakers’ voices. But, every speech was on point, exciting, and conveyed enthusiasm. Gingrich had one of the best political speeches I have ever heard. Talk about “HOPE.”

Out From Under Their Rocks January 29, 2012

And, it’s only January! Wow, this campaign is shaping up to get really nasty soon. Presumably rational, presumed conservatives are not just slashing and burning when it comes to Newt Gingrich, they are jumping back onto the “Must-Destroy-Sarah-Palin” bus, as well. We have come to expect this kind of behavior from the leftist democrats and socialist “progressives” but I have to admit that I never would have believed that republicans would stoop to this kind of bloodthirsty manipulation and character assassination of a fellow republican. It opens whole new areas of political speculation, and leaves me with my jaw hanging open at the poisonous nature of their attacks.

It was bad enough when they swooped down upon Sarah Palin the minute her name was mentioned at the GOP convention, but it looks like the hit-squad has doubled down on Newt Gingrich. Generally, in western culture, attacks like those we are seeing are what might be termed “defensive,” or “kill them before they kill us” in nature. The GOP Elites are desperate to protect their cozy positions on the government teats, and are willing to do and say anything to see to it that nobody, especially a Conservative, upsets their sweet arrangement.

Not satisfied to asassinate her reputation when Sarah Palin was considering joining the run for the White House, people turned the same gun on Herman Cain, then tried to ignore Rick Santorum to death, to the point of plumping up the deranged munchkin Ron Paul (If we only have a choice between Willard and RP, who will we choose?) in an attempt to squeeze everybody out and leave only one name in the hat: Willard M. Romney, leaving those of us who actually think to wonder just what there is about this loser that is suddenly so appealing to the same people who not too long ago repeatedly pulled the rug out from under him.

If this doesn’t expose the true agenda of the GOP Elites, nothing does. And, of course, it’s interesting (but not surprising) that all Sarah Palin has to do is post a Facebook article and the undead presstitutes and liberal pundit zombies spring back to life.

Let’s see…If Willard’s daddy George was a great admirer of Saul Alinsky, and Willard brags that his dad was his mentor and the source of his greatest inspiration, what conclusions can we draw? But, if this is the case, then, why are presumed “conservatives” (you know, the GOP establishment) bound and determined to put Willard in the race? There might be more than one reason, and I can think of a couple just off the top of my head. 1) They want him in because he is a weakling they can manipulate, and will govern THEIR way; or 2) they want him to be the nominee because they know the current rodent can beat him, and they are secretly in the enemy’s camp, with their invisible suction hoses permanently attached to the money bin. Just speculating here, obviously. (but, inquiring minds want to know…)

Sarah Palin was preciently WISE to decide not to get into this swirling, reeking cesspool. It seems she has a lot more common sense than most of the establishment thinks. No surprise there.

The Tea Party was once again told to sit down and shut up and listen to the “wisdom” of their betters. We were reminded of the litany of Tea Party endorsed candidates in 2010 that didn’t win. Well, here’s a little newsflash to the establishment: without the Tea Party there would have been no historic 2010 victory at all. –Sarah Palin on her Facebook page today

Here’s the link to her page, if you missed it elsewhere. Still making sense!

Makes Me Wonder January 27, 2012

Most environmental extremists will try to tell you that all life is equivalent: “A boy is a dog is a bear is a pig is a man is a boy.”

Yet, every one of these people is rabidly pro-abortion. Huh?? Is it just me? Just makes me wonder, is all.

I see the GOP establishment is in “kill” mode again. They are showing me, and others, some truths about the GOP establishment that we might have only suspected in times past. The main truth is this: THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT IN WASHINGTON IS JUST AS CROOKED, JUST AS SLIMY, AND JUST AS GUILTY AS ANYONE ON THE LEFT. They have been such for far too long, and appear to have finally arrived at the point where they are convinced they are untouchable, that their misdeeds will never be punished, and that they will be allowed to abide in their cushy sinecures for the rest of time.

The vicious attempts on Newt Gingrich’s political life are proof that they want no office holder in the White House who has even a smidgin of Conservative blood in his/her body. Conservatives in this day and age are observant and determined, and the GOP cronies’ club knows this and is running scared. Either that, or they will do virtually anything to get another member of their club into the White House to guarantee their jobs.

Is it my imagination, or is the PPC (“permanent political class” a lá Sarah Palin) getting more corrupt by the day/week/month/year? Perhaps, to my ignorant eye, they have actually been this crooked all along, and it has taken me this long to figure it out. Whatever it might be, it’s no wonder none of these guys is standing in the way of legislation aimed at controlling the internet. There is a knowledge there that the internet has been the venue that has revealed the most truth about these people, and they will want to shut it down before any more cats escape from any more croaker-sacks.

At any rate, the idea that Newt Gingrich (or even Rick Santorum) might make it to the finals is scaring the PPC like nothing we’ve seen in a long time. It might interest the PPC to know that more and more voters aren’t that concerned about Newt Gingrich’s past. He has confessed sincerely, repented, changed his life, and moved on. If the political establishment in Washington hates him, that’s fine with us. We don’t WANT anybody in there who is friends with this bunch of turncoats. If they hate him, It means he’s making a lot of cronies nervous, and that is GOOD news!

It’s awfully early in the process to begin with these kinds of attacks. It might signal a couple of things: It might mean that they are truly frightened that Newt will take Florida, and leave their slick-haired golden boy in the dust, or they are getting this stuff out of the way now to clear the way for worse attacks later. Whatever their reasons are, I just pray that Newt can hang on and see this through. The Augean Stables needed a full river to flush them clean, and I suspect that the halls of government aren’t much more sanitary. I hope Newt knows some good hydraulics engineers…

Elizabeth (nice name, that!) Scalia, over at The Anchoress blog, has passed on a lot of beautiful images from the March For Life in Washington this last weekend. The miserable weather (what else do we usually have the third week in January?) didn’t keep them away, and estimates of attendance range from 40,000 to nearly half a million.

And, here’s a report from San Francisco. Beautiful weather, beautiful people.

My phone rang before I was ready to get up and start my day, so I let the machine pick up. Here is what I heard when I played it back later:

“Hi, Ruth Ann. This is (garbled). We’re on our way up to get your mom out of jail. I’ll meet you there with the money. Talk to you later, bye…”
