Is it any wonder our country is going to HELL in a handbasket??
We as a nation have reached a point where we are going to have to make some fundamental spiritual changes, or we are going to reap the full measure of the consequences of our willingness to sacrifice our unborn children on the altar of Molech.
There was a time when the safest place for a child to be was in its mother’s womb, but that hasn’t been the case for the last forty years. Abortion on demand, for all nine months of pregnancy, up to and including the due date, is the law of the land. Babies aren’t even safe after they are born. If a doctor decides the infant has no life expectancy, “quality of life,” or worth in his eyes, it will be allowed to die or dispatched unceremoniously.
The Bible warns us repeatedly against killing children in their mothers’ wombs, as well as the idolatry of sacrificing living children to the god of blood and death. These aren’t just crimes; they are heinous crimes against the most innocent among us. Those we have been sworn to protect are now our favored targets, and there is ALWAYS, ALWAYS money involved.
To our shame, we have no excuse to offer for this monstrosity. We cannot cite even one good reason for butchering our babies before they are born.
We have become callous and unconcerned about the plight of these children. The lawmakers who have forced these murders on us are as guilty as the pratitioners of this evil. They had better enjoy any rewards they might be receiving for this advocacy, because they are not going to be very happy when they find out that hell is full of their kind. Time and again, they have demanded we continue to not just permit, but to actively recruit through advertisement, abortions across the country.
When we see the destruction of American freedoms, of our middle class, of our economy; when we see the consequences of immoral choices all around us, we can be sure that the judgment of the Creator is falling upon us. It is still not too late to turn back to Him. We can still make the decision to stop this slaughter now, before the country reaps the same consequences as Sodom and Gomorrah, destroyed as a consequence of their deliberate sinfulness.
America has always been known as a refuge. But here we are, within this very refuge, destroying the most innocent citizens of our nation; we are slaughtering our National Treasure — our posterity. The law protects murderers, rapists, and terrorists (has anybody wondered why we don’t use abortion methods to execute our death-row criminals, if they are so “humane?”). but nobody but the God-fearing pro-Life people of this country are willing to risk their lives to make an outcry against abortion. We fear our mortal and temporary governments more than we fear the Wrath of Almighty God, and we are reaping the consequences for that cowardice.
Is it any wonder we are watching the destruction of this country right before our very eyes? We are the generation that has brought this about, and we will be the generation to reap the whirlwind of our selfish sinfulness. The fact that God hasn’t struck us down before now is not proof that He doesn’t exist. It’s proof of His loving patience with us, His sinful, stubborn, and selfish children. But, I’m afraid that patience has grown thin of late. From the looks of things, it’s no more than we deserve.
Well said,, Liz. I could not agree more. I was much younger when Roe came down from the Supreme Court, but I found it hard to stomach at that time. Even so, I never imagine the “industry” this has become, this absolute nightmare. It seems to have us firmly in its grip now, with PP as well as the “independents.”
There were some perspicacious souls who warned us of the “slippery slope” we embarked upon at the time, but they were laughed/shouted down. The pro-death people “swore” that allowing “this” abortion would not lead to “that” abortion. They pinkie-swore that abortions would be “safe and rare.” And nobody mentioned the little cut-up corpses who didn’t have the right to exist inconveniently while Hollywood liberals were singing “Kumbaya” in the candle-lit darkness at some torturing murderer’s execution.
Now, we give abortion gift-certificates, starve and thirst our helpless to death, push our grandparents into warehouses and forget them, and hurry off to meet our latest partying friends, our most recent paramour, or to gloat over our gold one more time. God is not wanted in this society, and we who persist in our orgy of sin will pay and pay until He is restored to our national identity.
What always makes me wonder is why none but the plucky few are seeing this or making the connection between turning our backs on God and the national consequences for doing so. And, this doesn’t even touch on the reality of a completely MISSING generation of potential taxpayers paying into such things as Social Security.
