Monkey Business February 20, 2011

Monkeys do what monkeys do. They love to show off. They jump, rant, screech, throw poop, rip up grass, and make aggressive moves toward the other monkeys they feel afraid of at the moment, all in an attempt to force the other monkey to back down, yield its territory, and go away.
Democrats and leftists fall all over themselves copying monkey behavior. For the most part, their monkey behavior has always worked in the past. To the dems, apparently, all they have to do is show up in numbers, demand special treatment loudly, make a mess of the area, rant, call names, threaten, bully, call it “satisfactory” and “patriotic,” and claim the territory. At least, that’s the tactic they have always used in the past, and it has generally worked.
The demonstrations in Wisconsin last week just showed that the tried-and-true method of monkey business is still alive and well on the left. It’s interesting to note that not only was this union-organized monkey business, but the current resident even got HIS flying monkeys in on the action, organizing, getting names, writing out fake doctor’s excuses for teachers playing hooky, and generally boosting their mailing lists/donor rolls for the upcoming campaign.
I think the dem monkeys were surprised when the TEA party people were able to muster around 15,000 people (who came at their own expense) to their own rally in support of Gov. Walker, and stood their ground against all the posturing, histrionics, and simian displays on the left. The worm has turned. (Or, is that mixing my metaphors?)

I’m just about 100 miles from Madison, and I’ve been watching all of this with great interest. It is really amazing to me to see all of this happening there. Wisconsin is a strongly socialist state, and union power there is extremely strong. If they are able to break the unions in Wisconsin (glory, hallelujah!), it will be a whole new world for the country as a whole.
What is being asked of the unions is entirely reasonable, simply that they contribute a meager amount to their own health care and pensions, and that they have to re-certify every year. That last, of course, is the killer. Also, the state will no longer collect dues for them, and union membership will no longer be mandatory in order to teach in Wisconsin. Right now, they just automatically get $750 to $1000 per teacher in Wisconsin per year, with no effort required to keep it coming in. This will kill them if people have to write a check every month and can just as well opt out.
I can’t wait to see the unions broken!!
I am praying for the Governor, that he won’t weaken or cave in on any of their demands. I hope he is strong enough to stand his ground. It will inspire the governors of the other states SEIU has scheduled for similar riots. I hope we can stand against that band of marauders. I wish he’d pull a Reagan on them and FIRE every last one of them.
