I was rummaging around in my archives again and discovered this old thing. (Note the date…) It’s similar in topic and tone to “Growing Up Alaskan.” I hope you enjoy it. (Yes, that’s a Coca Cola bottle.)
The date is right under the title. In this case, it is August 8, 2006. That dates back almost to the beginning of the Sourdough. Yes, the Coke bottle was what Mother used to replace the lighter glass bottles we had. I must have managed to break mine, because it is nowhere in sight. The milk was reconstituted evaporated milk. Ewwww… Like I said, “war effort.”
Lis, I can’t see a date. Where is it? What does it say?
We have not seen glass Coke bottles for quite some time, so this photo is obviously from a while back.
