Ever have the feeling lately that you’ve awakened from a horrible nightmare, only to find yourself on Bizarro World? Every day, I learn some new thing about this administration that makes my eyeballs spin.
I’m an old lady. I’ve “been there, and done that” a few times, and there isn’t an awful lot left in American life that can surprise me very much any more. But every day, that skinny, half-white doper in the people’s house does some new thing to make me wonder if I can live long enough to see it all set back to rights.
I have a lot of faith in Americans. I love America to death. I love her opportunity, generosity, and beauty. It’s like America was one of my kids. I don’t take it very kindly when people who live here and share in her gracious bounty go to such lengths to deliberately destroy her and everything that has made her great.
Cases in point:
Now, America is STRONG. We, her people, are strong. If we stand together, we can be stronger than anything the current resident and his bunch of toadies and suckups can bring against us. The operative phrase here is “stand together.” We, the people. Remember that? WE THE PEOPLE. Educate your children, your family, and your friends about the monstrosity that is about to destroy everything the Founders, the fallen heroes, and patriots struggled, bled, and died to build and preserve. Seek out likeminded patriots, and make your voices heard again, by attending town hall meetings and tea party gatherings.
America’s people have stood against the forces of evil everywhere in the world, and by the sheer force of our goodness and our strength, we have never let it triumph over us. We have been betrayed, though, in places like Viet Nam, by the same bunch of miserable flacks, failures, and socialist apparatchiks that infest Washington DC today. Betrayal can be used against us, and it is being drawn like a deadly sword once more. But we are still the PEOPLE, and America STILL belongs to US.
Bizarro World, or the beautiful big blue marble? Which is our world?
They have no shame. A generation ago, the actions of every member of congress would have been derided as utterly contemptible and they would have all been thrown out, every last one of them. We used to have some sense of what is right and what was is not right. But now, when we have a fraudulently elected impostor in the WH, and he is able to appoint a known tax cheat to become secretary of the treasury and the Senate blithely confirms the rascal, why should we think that we really have much of a prospect of pulling this out short of a violent revolution?
The American people paid far too little attention for way too long a time. They have been gulled by the politicians as the pols became scummier and scummier, and no one took notice. Now it is time to decorate the lamp posts on Pennsylvania Ave. with a few traitors, maybe not so few.
