Why are so many of us on the Right so willing to allow the leftists to walk all over us? I understand “turn the other cheek,” but I think a lot of us are out of cheeks to turn.

Americans are good people. Even when we are being harassed and hounded by the left like we have been for the last year, we seem always optimistic, willing to give our attackers the benefit of the doubt. But there is a change in the wind.

Now, we aren’t so willing to just take it. Now, we seem more willing to stand up for ourselves against the bullies on the left who have knocked us down, kicked gravel in our faces, stolen our lunch money, given us wedgies and horsebites, and flushed our heads in the toilet.

Their new tactic is the Alinsky tactic of pressing the battle on the chosen “enemy,” in an attempt to isolate and intimidate. But I’m afraid the tactic has stopped working.

One thing the leftists hadn’t planned on was for those on the Right to adopt, and adapt, the tactics of the left that have always worked before to their own use. “Rules For Radicals” isn’t just for socialists any more. Now we are not allowing ourselves to be bullied. We are fighting back, challenging the left to prove their accusations, to “put up or shut up,” and to ignore their attempts to intimidate.

They will be out in force on April 15, trying to stir up trouble at the Tea Party rallies that will be taking place all over the country. We can defuse and neutralize their threats in several ways:

1. Ignore them. Look THROUGH them. Move your head to look around them. Don’t argue with them.

2. LAUGH AT THEM. They do hate ridicule. NO sense of humor.

3. Walk away, like you don’t realize they are attempting to confront you.

4. Get lots of pictures and videos of faces, activities, threats, etc. for identification purposes.

5. It is very important not to allow them to rile us or goad us into violence.

I have a lot on my schedule for today, which won’t leave me the time I would like to take for a complete posting to commemorate the day, but I did want to acknowledge the day for the holy time that it is. For this reason, I am reposting a Sunday posting from 2008. May you be blessed.

Little Miss Know-It-All March 25, 2010

One of the problems with being a Know-it-All is that people call you a “Know-it-All,” and act like you shouldn’t be alive or something. Their problem is that they are just jealous because they don’t know as much as you do, and they wish somebody would call them “Know-it-Alls.”

Another thing is that if I really knew it all, people would be always calling me “MA’AM” in capital letters, and sort of bowing and scraping in my presence. My name would probably be Marilyn Vos Savant, and I would have a little column in the “Parade” magazine that comes in the Sunday paper, and I wouldn’t have this blog because I’d be too smart for that. Or I’d be called “God,” or Supreme Intellect,” and get lots of praise and stuff.

Know-it-Alls get that way by choice. All their lives, first their parents tell them to “Study! Get smart! Ask questions! Read reference books! Look it up!” Then their teachers say the same things. So we do. And, if we remember the things we learn, we get to be called Know-it-Alls before we are even out of high school. Fun, huh?

Hardly. Supposing you are a redheaded, freckled, glasses-wearing “Best Speller in School,” “A+ In English” kind of Know-it-All in High School who’s even smarter than the Science teacher. This only gets you points with other Know-it-Alls. It doesn’t take a Know-it-All long to figure out how to play dumb in class in order to have a little popularity.

Because most Know-it-Alls are wallflowers (that’s an old-fashioned term that means that at the dances, we decorated the walls because we never danced), our social skills might have been somewhat lacking. We’d know good manners and etiquette, but not how to talk to the opposite sex–unless they were Know-it-Alls, too. Then, we’d wind up talking about science and electronics, and stuff that most mere mortals don’t know anything about (Which is probably where the term, “Know-it-All” came from in the first place, come to think of it…). This doesn’t necessarily mean that a Know-it-All of this type doesn’t get any friends of the opposite sex. It just means that they have to do their picking from among the other Know-it-Alls: more glasses-wearing, pocket-protector-sporting geeks, and nerds with wierd laughs and bad complexions, like the Haas triplets, long may they reign. (Kurt, Kenny, and Keith, where are you?)

When we do get married and have kids, we usually try to pass on the Know-it-All gene, and teach our kids to “Study! Learn! Look it up! Read refrence books! Ask questions!” so they can have the dubious pleasure of being Know-it-Alls themselves, and passing the gene on to their kids.

It’s pretty obvious these days that Know-it-Alls haven’t been doing their homework, and they are becoming few and far between. Don’t let this happen! Don’t let the other Know-it-Alls have all the fun! Get married! Raise lots of big-brained, smart babies, and teach them how to “Study! Look it up! Ask questions! Get brainy!”

Oh. And, don’t let the rest of those guys get to you with their name-calling. Remember: They are JEALOUS.

Consequences March 20, 2010

Earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, wars, and famines, although they are called “warnings” in the Bible, have been going on since creation, and throughout all of human history. They are not the beginning of the end, because we know that Christ’s death on the Cross was that. They aren’t even the end of the beginning.

They are just natural occurrences, unless specifically stated otherwise by God, Himself. God doesn’t see death like we do, so naturally, He is not going to grieve for those who die in these disasters, but will rejoice to see His precious ones come home. “In my Father’s house are many mansions,” Jesus says, and we know that God has made provision for those good people who die without having had the opportunity to known Him, through no fault of their own. Any sorrow He might feel would be for the souls of the ones who deliberately turn their backs on goodness, kindness, and love for their neighbors, and, in so doing, choose Hell.

We Americans are reaping what we have sown. The things happening in America today are the consequences of our deliberate turning away from God’s love, and choosing worldly, selfish, deadly passions. It’s not earthquakes or floods or famines or pestilince that will be our warning/punishment, although, they could be so. I’m not eliminating that possibility. But, America’s consequence will be to be dominated by the evil of socialism. It will be enslavement, unless we are able to turn back the tide of unbelief, hedonism, selfishness, and revenge. There is a lot of difference between what we deliberately ask for as a nation through our deliberate refusal to live according to God’s laws, and what occurs around the world that is caused by nature (or the consequences of THEIR particular choice of sin and evil and against God).

What are we to make of what is taking place in Washington? Is there any true Christian who doesn’t know that we have brought a lot of these things on ourselves with our choice to slaughter our innocent unborn for the last 40 years or so? We had the power to prevent this then, but we didn’t do it.

When we murder 30% of our posterity for reasons of convenience, we beg for Divine Judgment.

When we sexualize our preschool innocents, or teach our third-graders that homosexuality, masturbation, and oral sex are not only legitimate but healthful, happy ways to play, what are we doing to those innocent little minds? We destroy their childhood because we are selfishly childish ourselves. We want to continue our own heedless childhoods long past our adulthood, but can’t stand the idea that there are generations of other children coming behind us who deserve their own childhoods. By destroying their childhood, we have destroyed whatever might have been left of our own innocence.

America has allowed evil to prevail over goodness and upright action. We know the consequences. We shouldn’t be surprised when they fall due.

As I read this article, I began to wonder, “Isn’t even the study of the sun and its weather safe?” Safe, of course, from the problematic and erroneous psuedoscience currently destroying the last shreds of credibility in the scientific community? (AGW, to wit.)

Or, hopefully, I’m wrong, and the models were simply incomplete, considering the fact that for years solar astronomers believed the speed of the Conveyor meant MORE sunspots, not less. At any rate, it’s good to know the information has been corrected, and is making sense.

And THIS is interesting science. Enjoy!

Just how much should that dollar you have be worth? A dollar should have a Constitutional worth of 371.75 grains of pure silver. But, DOES it?? See here: A Constitutional Dollar. Long, but very educational.

And, just so you don’t think I’ve been neglecting your science lessons, I give you this: Antarctica’s INTERESTING Secret
