Sarah Palin Gives Us The Truth January 26, 2010

Mr. President: Please Try, “I’m Listening, People,” Instead of “Listen Up, People!”

Governor Palin presents the REAL State of the Union message, presented here in full. Enjoy!

We’ve now seen three landslide Republican victories in three states that President Obama carried in 2008. From the tea parties to the town halls to the Massachusetts Miracle, Americans have tried to make their opposition to Washington’s big government agenda loud and clear. But the President has decided that this current discontent isn’t his fault, it’s ours. He seems to think we just don’t understand what’s going on because he hasn’t had the chance – in his 411 speeches and 158 interviews last year – to adequately explain his policies to us.

Instead of sensibly telling the American people, “I’m listening,” the president is saying, “Listen up, people!” This approach is precisely the reason people are upset with Washington. Americans understand the president’s policies. We just don’t agree with them. But the president has refused to shift focus and come around to the center from the far left. Instead he and his old campaign advisers are regrouping to put a new spin on the same old agenda for 2010.

Americans aren’t looking for more political strategists. We’re looking for real leadership that listens and delivers results. The president’s former campaign adviser is now calling on supporters to “get on the same page,” but what’s on that page? He claims that the president is “resolved” to “keep fighting for” his agenda, but we’ve already seen what that government-growth agenda involves, and frankly the hype doesn’t give us much hope. Real health care reform requires a free market approach; real job creation involves incentivizing, not punishing, the job-creators; reining in the “big banks” means ending bailouts; and stopping “the undue influence of lobbyists” means not cutting deals with them behind closed doors.

Instead of real leadership, though, we’ve had broken promises and backroom deals. One of the worst: candidate Obama promised to go through the federal budget “with a scalpel,” but President Obama spent four times more than his predecessor. Want more? Candidate Obama promised that lobbyists “won’t find a job in my White House,” but President Obama gave at least a dozen former lobbyists top administration jobs. Candidate Obama promised us that we could view his health care deliberations openly and honestly on C-SPAN, but President Obama cut deals behind closed doors with industry lobbyists. Candidate Obama promised us that we would have at least five days to read all major legislation, but President Obama rushed through bills before members of Congress could even read them.

Candidate Obama promised us that his economic stimulus package would be targeted and pork-free, but President Obama signed a stimulus bill loaded with pork and goodies for corporate cronies. Candidate Obama railed against Wall Street greed, but President Obama cozied up to bankers as he extended and expanded their bailouts. Candidate Obama promised us that for “Every dollar that I’ve proposed [in spending], I’ve proposed an additional cut so that it matches.” We’re still waiting to see how President Obama will cut spending to match the trillion he’s spent.

More than anything, Americans were promised jobs, but the president’s stimulus package has failed to stem our rising unemployment rate. Maybe it was unfair to expect that an administration with so little private sector experience would understand something about job creation. How many Obama Administration officials have ever had to make a payroll or craft a business plan in the private sector? How many have had to worry about not having the resources to invest and expand? The president’s big government policies have made hiring a new employee a difficult commitment for employers to make. Ask yourself if the Obama Administration has done anything to make it easier for employers to hire. Have they given us any reassurance that the president will keep taxes low and not impose expensive new regulations?

Candidate Obama over-promised; President Obama has under-delivered. We understand you, Mr. President. We’ve listened to you again and again. We ask that you now listen to the American people.

Manufactured Consent January 24, 2010

My buddies over at Free Republic are hot on the trail. They have uncovered a White House operation that is probably not illegal, strictly speaking, but is questionable from an ethical point of view.

Seems there is a large spamming operation going on in which the same message from the same person is sent to newspapers all over the country. This is apparently effected by simply requesting a zip code from viewers of the website. The spammers do the rest, and send out the same letter, signed by the same “individual,” to editorial pages in the closest towns to the zip code entered. This ruse has earned the name, “manufactured consent,” and it has David Axelrod’s “fingerprints” all over it.

Apparently, these spamming campaigns are used to give the illusion of much more electoral approval and consent for the dangerous and unconstitutional attempts by the administration to push their plans onto the people of America. By building these spam databases, they can pretend publicly that heinous, ill-conceived and dastardly plans coming down from Mt. Olympus are really things the “people” have wanted all along, implying consent from the governed.

Now, if this “person” actually exists and has homes in all these towns, it’s no problem. But if it turns out that not just the message, location, and sender are spurious, there’s a game afoot! Freepers love to dig into stuff like this. It was a freeper, remember, who uncovered Dan Rather’s fraudulent “letter” stating George W. Bush was AWOL from his Texas ANG post. Freepers love mysteries. Red meat…

Now freepers are finding these requests, and changing the letters to reflect their refusal of the health care scam currently being totuted by the current resident as the answer to the world’s problems, and sending them on. This is going to get interesting.

I first met Sarah Palin in 94, talked to her every month or so when she first started; very accessible. Watched the Repub Party try to set her up for political suicide up here. Watched her gain the trust and support of the people of Alaska; something our repub politicals never received. Watched her refuse to accept a 3rd party nomination from AIP to unseat our corrupt repub gov who later tried to destroy her in appreciation. Palin said she wouldn’t take the chance of splitting the conservative vote and have a dem sneak in. All of Alaska watched her beat same gov in primary 4 years later 51% to 19%; go on to become one of the best Governors we’ve ever seen in Alaska.

Palin did a great job as Gov in Ak; cut taxes, spending, and growth of wasteful government pork. She also supported many dem issues when cost effective such as education, child health care, things that were just the right thing to do with our oil money.

Palin’s the only repub I’d trust to straighten America out. She’s smart, honest, and more than anything does what’s right when it would be easier to do what she’d told. Sometimes I do believe many of our Repubs in USA are as dumb as the Dems when they even consider sidelining Palin.

” — From “Eska,” a poster on FR, who appreciates Sarah Palin’s political instincts. Eska is speaking in regard to this article. And, negative reactions to Sarah’s decision to assist McCain abound.

I always get cranky when I read stuff from people who wouldn’t dare get into politics themselves, to change things in their own towns, but who always seem to know exactly what Sarah Palin (whose political instincts are razor-sharp, without their help) should do or not do until she runs it past them first. Get a job on FOX? Bad move, Sarah. How’s she gonna run for Pres in 2012?? Too much exposure! Help McCain out in his re-election bid in AZ? How could she even THINK of such a thing?? Lost my support, etc.

Armchair campaign strategists are harping away everywhere because she has agreed to help McCain. Somehow, they have gotten the idea that the only person who can save America is Sarah Palin, and they won’t allow anything to taint their expectations of her. At least, Eska GETS it. He realizes the necessity of backing off and letting Sarah use her instincts to do her job.

I love Sarah. I hope she does run for President. If she doesn’t want to run in 2012, she will probably run in 2016. That’s her decision. She might want to wait until Piper and Trig are old enough to deal with the bustle of a national campaign.

But if there is anybody in the US who is politically savvy, I think it might be Sarah Palin. The idea that these self-appointed managers know better how and what to do to inspire America is beyond the pale. These KIA’s are not doing Sarah Palin any favors by trying to manipulate her from the sidelines, second-guessing her every move, or telling her how to do what she instinctively knows how to do better than 98% of the politicians, pundits, and armchair campaign strategists in this country.

I think we need to trust Sarah to know what to do when. If she believes she can can do more damage to the socialists’ agenda by being and doing just what she is doing from where she is, I think we need to sit down, shut up, and let her work. She has the fighter’s insticts, and the hunter’s cunning mind, and she’s not afraid of blood. She’s been vetted clear down to her follicles. I believe if she doesn’t ASK us for our opinions on how to do what she is doing so well, we should keep them to ourselves.

Sarah, you GO!
(p.s. I think it’s the polite, friendly, and Christian thing to do to campaign for McCain. He won’t be elected, but I think she’s doing the right thing by showing him some gratitude.)

So, Who Slapped The Blonde? January 21, 2010

Sitting together on a train was Obama, George W. Bush, a little old lady, and a young blonde girl with large breasts.

The train goes into a dark tunnel and a few seconds later there is the sound of a loud slap.

When the train emerges from the tunnel, Obama has a bright red hand print on his cheek. No one speaks.

The old lady thinks: Obama must have groped the blonde in the dark, and she slapped him.

The blonde girl thinks: Obama must have tried to grope me in the dark, but missed and fondled the old lady and she slapped him.

Obama thinks: Bush must have groped the blonde in the dark. She tried to slap him but missed and got me instead.

George Bush thinks: I can’t wait for another tunnel, so I can smack Obama again.

Across this country — to all those folks who are listening, if you’re covering me — we are united by basic convictions that only need to be clearly stated to win a majority — and if anyone doubts that in this next election season that’s about to begin — well, let them take a look at what happened here in Massachusetts. Because what happened here in Mass can happen all over America.”

–Scott Brown’s Victory Speech

from Rick Santelli’s “shout heard round the world” to Scott Brown’s “Scott heard round the world,” Americans have heard the message. Carrying hand lettered signs instead of torches and pitchforks, they have started a homespun revolution that is just getting started. Every seat in Congress, every office in city, county, or state is on notice: Govern according to the WILL OF THE PEOPLE or we will VOTE YOU OUT. Period.

Even here in Wasilla, the message is going out. I told you about the ADF&G board elections last week, in which over 500 interested locals turned out to vote the liberals off the board and replace them with people more in tune with the will of the people. Through the efforts of new grassroots organizations like Conservative Patriots Group, these elections are being publicized and attended. Public support and involvement is taking an upward course in Wasilla. We are finally waking up and remembering that “We the people” means US, as well as the U.S.

For far too long, we have taken the easy way out, and just allowed the politicians to move us around like backgammon pieces. I pray to God that we have awakened from our slumber, and are once more willing to step forward and do what is necessary to take back the country, to return to self-government, and to restore this great country to a nation of laws, instead of a nation of regulations and oversight. Can we untie the hands of our law enforcement officers? Can we strike down the ill-conceived political correctness that has turned us from our mission? Thank God for people like Scott Brown, who took an outspoken message of commonsense conservatism to the people. We heard him. Did Washington?

“I’m going to need some Advil and a cold compress, please. I’m the Massachusetts Electorate, and I have what is bar none the absolute worst hangover of my entire voting life…Think, Electorate, think. What did I do?”

If this health care bill is so great, why do all the Liberals have to get exemptions from it before they’ll support it?

If this health care bill is so great, why don’t all the Liberal Representatives and Senators have to comply with it?

Does the Union exemption include Government Workers?

Does the Union exemption include Teachers?

Does the Union exemption include Post Office Workers?

Does the Union exemption include Prison Guards?

If this health care bill is so great, why do all the Liberals have to get exemptions from it before they’ll support it?

Wow! Go toGunslinger’s Journal to read the rest. Thanks, Slingy!

The “Secretary of State Project” is a Soros-funded organization dedicated to inserting “Progressive” (read “Socialist”) members into the offices of Secretary of State around the country. Since the SoS usually is responsible for elections and vote-counting, this is a very dangerous (for us) and criminal (for them) undertaking. Josef Stalin said, “It’s not the voters who decide elections; it’s the one who counts the votes.”

In most states, this would be your Secretary of State. In Alaska, I think the one who oversees elections is the Lt. Governor. At any rate, beware of this tactic. Keep it in mind when choosing your candidates.

An excellent resource when you are trying to learn how all these creepy people are tied together is “Discover The Networks,” compiled by David Horowitz from FrontPage Magazine blog.

Volunteer to serve on your precinct election board, and keep an eye on what goes on there.

BEWARE! They are getting desperate.

Theirs To Lose January 15, 2010

Dear GOP:

This election is yours to lose. I don’t know how many times it has to be said, or in how many different ways, but you MUST stop catering to beltway noodniks and start listening to the real people out here who are the ones who put you in office.

What we gave, we can take away. We have the votes. What are you willing to do for US to get them?

WE ARE NOT YOUR ENEMIES. But you legislate as if you had to protect yourselves from us. But we are the ones who hired you, so where do you get that idea?

You are every bit the beltway insiders, country-club and elitist, that the Democrats are. You aren’t conservative. You are just another shade of Democrat.

If you want our votes in the upcoming elections, you had better start listening to the people who pay your bills or you will find yourselves out on the street. We are trying to talk to you people. All we ever get from you is the back of your hand.

Like I said, it’s YOURS TO LOSE.
