Making Their Move

I believe the leftists made their move too early.

But, the fact remains that they have pounced, and have discovered that their intended victims have no desire to die. They are countered at every turn, it seems, by older Americans; veterans and retirees who still remember their History and Civics classes, who can still recite the oath they took when they enlisted or were drafted. They can still count the cost of American freedom, and they KNOW what this administration is trying to do.

One can only speculate on the reasons behind their hasty attacks on American sovereignty and liberty, and the chance that there are numerous excuses for making their move at this time is high. But I believe there is one reason in the pile that has somewhat more weight than any of the others, and it is this:

George Soros is old, and in spite of his best efforts, is getting older by the day. If it’s true that the good die young, Soros will probably live to be a thousand, but that’s beside the point.

It makes more than a little sense to think that there was a fair amount of impatience and haste involved in pushing the current resident forward when they did. I believe Soros wanted to have this opportunity to claim the scalp of the United States of America before he becomes too old to enjoy having brought America to her knees. So the rush is on to kick all the foundations of this country to rubble as quickly as possible in order to provide a helpless, dependent gift for the old traitor before he departs this earth. Being a self-hating, atheistic and Communistic person of Judaic extraction, Soros can only HOPE that there is no life after death, or he is liable to be spending his eternity in ways he hadn’t foreseen.

If the push had waited just one more generation — even another twenty years — the outcome of this entire year’s debate over healthcare, crap-n-tax, nationalization of the auto and banking industries, etc., would never have been in doubt. Like a ripe plum on the tree, the nation would have fallen right into the waiting lap of the socialists and the job would have been done with scarcely a complaint from the population. Town hall meetings would have been unnecessary because the vast majority of the people would be so conditioned to nannystate care that the only thing left for the government to do would have been to tear up the actual Constitution and hand it around for toilet paper.

BUT…

The vigilance of the patriotic people of the United States has caught these miscreants red-handed, attempting to kill a victim that is not going down easily. From now on, the people of America need to stay vigilant and fired up. The pressure must not be allowed to soften. The battle is not yet won, but the end may be in sight.

One can only pray that George Soros’ disappointment will be profound.

Equal To The Task

Nothing — absolutely NOTHING — has held this leftist government up to public scrutiny like the attempted passage of the criminally evil “healthcare” bill currently before the U.S. House of Representatives. It’s not the only attempt on Americans’ right to govern themselves, but it is the most recent.

In the first place, it is a bill that appeared magically, overnight. How did they put together a 1,000-page bill in such a short time? The only answer is that it has been written for a long time, and has been sitting in someone’s desk drawer waiting for the opportune moment. (I vote for Waxman’s or Pelosi’s.) It is carelessly and sloppily put together, it is crude in its language, cavalierly ignoring the real needs of sick and elderly Americans and focused on prospering and growing the government.

In the second place, its supporters can’t even get their own pet representatives and their constituents to support it. All the money poured into the effort from Soros-backed entities can’t seem to purchase more than a few unions and a gaggle of paid demonstrators, who arrive by the busload at townhall meetings all dressed in their purple shirts, and waving their expensive, pre-printed signs. They demonstrate, irritate, and agitate. They shout and get into people’s faces, and try to instigate trouble. And, at six p.m., the union-mandated quitting time, they climb back onto their buses and drive away. Their loyalty is to their union. They couldn’t care less about the topic at hand. The left is anguishing over not being able to pass this bill without Republican votes; and Republicans — spineless as they are — are reluctant to add their name to a bill that is POISON (literally!) to their voters, especially since it will not affect their own gilt-edged health care in the slightest.

There is also absolutely nothing in today’s experience that can even come close to this outright move against American sovereignty that the administration has attempted; not just with this bill, but with every move they have made since the inauguration in January. The people in this administration have made no bones about their hatred for America and everything she stands for. They hate the people whose patriotism, toil, enterprise, and ethics have made her unique in all the world as a beacon of prosperity and hope for all the world. They hate her laws. They hate her wealth. They hate her freedom. I wouldn’t be surprised if they even hate her beautiful landscapes and wide-open vistas, long highways stretching from coast to coast and border to border, her natural resources, or her ability to feed the world. But most of all, I fear that they hate her people.

Sadly, the people they hate, the ones who love this country, must stand back and allow these weevils to bore into and suck the life from the greatest engine of prosperity the world has ever seen, because there is no way to stop them short of violence. Americans, contrary to lwhat the leftists believe, are not violent. They should be glad, and thank their lucky stars for this attribute. Ironically, the very thing that protects these destroyers is the same thing that protects the people: The Second Amendment to the Constitution. Because we are an ARMED nation, we are a PEACEABLE nation. We prefer to rely on our system of Constitutional laws to effect controls. But we can only be just so tolerant. Americans DO know the meaning of sacrifice and revolution, and they are not ruling it out. But we are all hoping it will be a peaceful and orderly process when it comes.

The people now bent on destroying everything that makes America great systematically ignore the Constitution as they impose the actions, proposals, and programs they insist must be in place. As if this was an anarchist state with no checks or balances on government behavior, they steamroll the will of the people and seek to oppress like the Barbarian and Mongol hordes of the middle ages. Nothing, not the smallest detail, is left unbesmirched by the rampant and determined evil these usurpers have concocted. No breadcrumb is left to the people, no personal autonomy, no private property can be left untouched. The government must control everything, and own everything, including the people’s lives and deaths.

Blessedly, there are patriots. This evil has aroused the ire of the people who so generously elected this administration, hoping as they did so, to prove they were really the genuine and benevolent nation they had always been portrayed to be. Leaders are arising in unlikely places; people whose voices are being heard that never before could have encouraged or exhorted. New names rise to prominence as they challenge this destruction.

Courage and preparation are the watchwords today. We Americans are equal to this task.

The Constitution is very specific. It tells Congress what particular powers it has, and then it very emphatically says that any powers are NOT Congress’…but belong to the States and to The People.

It’s not a difficult concept. And it’s not complicated language. It’s perfectly clear for any reader of English.

How then did we end up with an Imperial State that interferes in every facet of our lives, and is seeking ever more control until it will literally dictate our thoughts and behavior from birth to death?

Who can we point to? Who are the monsters responsible? Who’s fault is it that our government is totally out-of-control?

Federal Healthcare Is Illegal

DEMAND THAT CONGRESS ABIDE BY THE CONSTITUTION! Specifically the 9th and 10th Amendments.

9. The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

10. The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Try as I might, I can’t find a single word in either of these amendments that say anything about universal health care. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution” Nope. That doesn’t say “health care.”

Well, how about, “…nor prohibited by it to the States…?” Nope, not there, either. Hmmm… maybe here: “…are reserved to the States respectively…” Well, doggone it, it’s not HERE, either!

I’ve got it! “…or to the people.” Urk, nope. Not there. Well. I guess that means that the feds have NO BUSINESS trying to force us to accept an ILLEGAL program (one of countless such, I’m afraid) that will bend our necks ever more deeply to the slavery of their arrogant power.

Imagine that.

One more time: DEMAND THAT CONGRESS ABIDE BY THE CONSTITUTION! Specifically, the 9th and 10th Amendments.

Calf Of Gold Or Oil Of Snake?

The people of this country who support this administration have built themselves a golden calf, and they are only now realizing that the glittering bovine is not able to keep a single promise, provide a single meal, create a job, or save a single life.

Realizing we have been gullible and swallowed the spiel of the slickest snake-oil salesman to come down the pike in a long time makes us irritable and impatient with the perpetrator of the ruse, and that makes the town-hall gatherings contentious and cranky. It doesn’t help that the paid thugs of the SEIU in their purple shirts have taken to infiltrating, disrupting, and agitating the gatherings of honest taxpayers who come together to ask legitimate questions of the congressional representatives THEY hired and put into office.

Any employee is familiar with the periodic evaluations his company or agency uses to keep track of its employee’s performance. Congress should be no different, and should not be exempt from the scrutiny of the taxpayers whose votes put them into office. Yet, they acquire an attitude as soon as they sit down at their new desks that says, “I am an exempt elite. I don’t have to pay social security taxes, I don’t have to submit myself to the laws I make for you, and my retirement is a golden rocking chair that is the envy of most of the heads of state in the world. Shame on you for asking me such questions!”

Since the left enjoys nothing so much as class warfare, pitting groups of people against each other in these situations is more fun than a “Family Guy” marathon in terms of enjoyment for the left. Disruption is their stock in trade, and stirring up trouble at the town hall meetings is a piece of cake for seasoned union goons and knee-breaking guys trained in agitation. Every time, these disruptions have nothing to do with the topic at hand, and everything to do with squelching opposition and silencing legitimate questions and attempting to stir up anger at doctors and insurance companies. Big labor has been losing influence and membership for some time. This might be the moment of truth for them, as well. If they can’t pull this together and force the insurance and medical employees into SEIU, they will lose even more, and will lose all the income that would accrue to them from mandatory dues. They have a lot at stake in disrupting the legitimate and Constitutionally-protected town-hall gatherings that have sprung up across the country.

America has reached a deadly and dangerous precipice, and we are teetering on the crumbling brink of the death of liberty. As patriots across the country have contemplated the rise in anti-Constitutional legislation and the brazen implementation of Socialist policies in many segments of American life, it has been a recurring worry that actual revolution would become necessary to prevent the worst from happening. But no one could predict the form any such “uprising” would take, and it may come to pass that such would appear as grassroots gatherings and vocal resistance, such as we now see, events in which everyone can participate.

So, the battle is joined and the armies face each other at town hall meetings. The outcome is still anybody’s guess, but the real will of the people will not go down without a fight. The sinister idol of gold has awakened the “sleeping giant.” But, once aroused, that giant may prove to be a difficult and determined adversary.
