Driving A Stake Through The Old GOP November 7, 2008Posted by lizp4 in Uncategorized.
Sarah Palin came home last night. She was tired. Worn out. She looked like she had just run a FRUSTRATING political campaign and was on the losing side. Of course, the newsdork that happened to get to her first stuck a microphone in her face and immediately asked her about the scurrilous charges the jealous little pissers in the OLD Republican party were making.
Not happy with having run a stupid, lackluster, Chinese-firedrill campaign led by someone who didn’t want to win, they jealously lashed out at the ONE person in the party who had brains, wit, and charisma, and brought the only votes the ticket received. PDS (Palin Derangement Syndrome) has not gone away, if this outburst of viciousness is any indication.
Jealous is as jealous does, and envy is a sin. The people who attacked her were not just envious and jealous, they were malicious. Not satisfied to just attack her campaign performance, these nasty, smallminded leeches knocked each other down getting on national TV to tell the world how incompetent and aggressive Sarah Palin was during the campaign. Ingratitude isn’t nice anywhere, but for these people to be so ungrateful to her for what she brought to the campaign, calling her “Hillbilly from Wasilla,” etc., is beyond comprehension.
That’s funny…we never had that problem with her here in Alaska. She shopped at consignment stores. She cut budgets, cut spending, and raised Alaska’s profile in the energy positions of the nation. She goverened as a conservative, not as a party member for either party.
And, lest those jealous little leeches forget it, she SINGLEHANDEDLY brought John McCain as close as he came to winning the election. People voted for Sarah, not for McCain, whom some have called cowardly.
Sadly, the label seems to stick. He ran a wimpy campaign and refused to fight. He kept trying to suck up to the opposition. He never attacked, he just cowered. Perhaps the years in the Hanoi Hilton damaged more than his body. All I know is that the GOP needs to vote him OUT before he moves over to the Democrat side, for, apparently, the Democrats want him back. He served their purpose well, in helping them to elect their Golden Boy. But, apparently, his performance was marred by the one thing nobody planned on: The serendipitous selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate. If this isn’t proof that there is a God, I don’t know what is. With the selection of Governor Palin, McCain accidentally picked up the very stake that will be driven through liberalism’s heart once and for all. The rebirth of the Republican Party is at hand.
The old GOP is the literal deadwood of the party now, and the Conservative base will never listen to them again, never follow their plans, never vote for them again. If PUMA describes the disaffected Democrats and Hillary supporters who felt disenfranchised on the left, the new Conservatives are in the process of splitting off from the GOP, to become what might be called “GOPUMA.” The groundswell has already begun. The old guard will do their best to squelch this growing sound of dissatisfaction, but the sheer numbers of the new GOP will eventually overpower the mossbacks and render them moot everywhere outside the beltway.
At any rate, Sarah’s effect on the campaign was electrifying, and one only needs to look at the size of the crowds she drew wherever she went, and the love of the people who still support her to understand that she is a power to be reckoned with in politics. (For instance, how many other political campaigners do you know of who are going to be receiving a landslide of “thank you” cards, letters, and emails from grateful voters who recognize her ability and what she represents to the real Conservatives?) No matter what she does from now on, she will not do it anonymously, for she has become one of the icons of Conservative political hope. She and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana are at the top of a short list of truly Conservative figures who will be shaping the Republican party as it emerges from this election cycle. The old mossback GOP is moribund, and the new GOP is going back to its Reagan roots, regardless of what the beltway whiners have to say about it.
It’s no wonder that the little apparatchiki, toadies, and sycophants of the mossbacks pulled out their daggers, stilettos, and poiniards and pounced on Palin’s public image with murder on their minds. She is now so powerful– even without being “in the loop”– that they believe they must do away with her image decisively before she comes back onto the national scene, or they will lose everything they stand for and believe in. She spells death to their cozily comfortable places in Washington politics; she terrifies the moderates, and positively frightens the MSM to death. She is the total anodyne to all they believe in. With her in any national office, the moderates of the old GOP stand to lose everything; to be left standing on a shifting pile of sand.
The old mossback vampire of the Republican vote has been pushed into the light of the morning sun, and the wooden stake is poised at its heart.
